Policy Stat Document Owner

Hi there… I have used Policy Stat in my previous life, however at my new organization each policy is assigned a document owner ( an actual specific person)… is there a way to change ownership to a department instead? Please help. Thank you!

Hello, we are fairly new to policy stat. I do not believe you can really make a policy owner a department. Who then initiates the policy review? Who does the approval? It all ties back in to workflow and you still have to assign someone to sign off as the department.

Hi @jalena.johnson, @roberta.durbin summed it up pretty well. You could grant ‘can manage’ permissions to multiple users under a department so they will also see what policies are due for review and be able to move them forward in the review/edit portion of the workflow. Policies and approval steps though do need a user account tied to them.

Thanks for the insight. So if I want to assign policies to a specific department… how do I perform that in PolicyStat?
